In November of 2011 The Will Rogers Theatre located at 705 - 715 Monroe Ave. Charleston, Illinois was purchase by Jim & Katie Troccoli, of Ottawa, Illinois and Tim Burke of Hollywood CA with the intent of restoring the Will Rogers Theatre to its original grandeur.
After a two year battle with business partner Burke and the lender, the building has been purchased by Katie Troccoli through a judicial sale on Oct. 28, 2016. It has been a long journey to get here.
05/07/2019 New architects Studio K on the scene to update the plans to move forward with the Will Rogers restoration project.
The Will Rogers Theatre had been listed on the Landmarks Illinois Ten Most Endangerd Places
and is list by the United States Department of the Interior National Register of Historic Places.
